I think it would be great if all
    People
    Learned some
Sign language for everyday living... not just to communicate with the deaf but also with each other in noisy environments! It’s interesting in itself .... worth learning, and a good physical challenge too, for hearing people.

    Greetings,

A message from the Gospel in The Christian Holy Bible. This is the message of forgiveness of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. In first Corinthians, chapter 15 verses 1 to 4, the apostle Paul states:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I have preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you, first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”.
Romans chapter 3 verse 23, informs us,
“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God”.
Ultimately it is a redeeming plan set by God, and for anybody who will faithfully trust in his Son will be saved.
Romans chapter 6 verse 23, says,
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
A sinner must recognise the despairing of her or his guilt before God in order for forgiveness to take effect.
Every believer must understand in order to inherit the kingdom of God as sons of the king, the reality and foundational truth of sin must be acknowledged, for all who approach the throne of God for salvation.
God promises us eternal life, for anybody who departs from sin through the saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life which no person could live. Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross ultimately paid the debt we owe to God for our sin.
Sin against an infinite God requires an infinite sacrifice; and Jesus died a substitutionary death for the sinner.
In short, the works of Jesus paid the penalty of sin through an infinite sacrifice. Only the creator of life has the power to resurrect life after death and is essentially the proof of the power of God.
Jesus Christ offers his salvation as a free gift and only be received by faith, despite any works or worthiness on our part.
The scripture in Romans informs us,
“If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.
In conclusion, the resurrection of Christ is to bring everlasting life and salvation to anybody who follows him. The relationship between God and man can be restored through his saving faith.

Beautiful, Powerful And So Sad~ The way the mother treated her own child was simply heartbreaking and made me really angry, but then Wonderful Jo comes and you're thinking "oh, this is great~ the Mom and the whole family will learn sign language and it's going to be a Happy Ending!" But, it was just MORE heartbreaking because you're Now thinking that this Adorable Little Girl is going to be left behind in Life~ all because of a Mother Who Appears To Be Embarrassed By Her Child and she will continue to neglect that sweet girl! It really is crucial that ALL CHILDREN ARE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE, LEARN AND THRIVE!

My paternal grandmother was deaf, due to sonic bomb damage. During WW 2, she was visiting a friend who lived near Glasgow docks. An air raid happened near by. they hid under the kitchen table, as the windows blew in. The sonic shockwave permanently damaged her hearing. By the end of her life, she had been 100% deaf for over 20 years. I have an ear syringing kit I use at home. Due to the Covid, they wouldn't do my syringing at my local Drs surgery any more. The practice nurse taught me how to do my ear care safely, and I now do it at home myself. I have the RNID sign language dictionary, and I learnt how to fingerspell. It's true, learning very basic signing isn't difficult. However, like any new language, practice is the key. While I was working as a dental nurse in my 2nd practice, the receptionist thought the local postman was being rude by ignoring her when she spoke to him. 2 days later, I saw him on the practice's hallway CCTV. He'd met a friend, and then I knew... They were having a conversation in sign language, so he must be deaf! After that, I started to learn to sign. He was a lovely guy. (In case you wonder about the receptionist, she wouldn't have a bar of it. Insisting that he should "talk like everyone else." ) Just because he didn't wear a hearing aid, she insisted he couldn't be deaf! When my ears get blocked with wax, I know what it's like to be deaf - even if only for a short time. Take the time to discover, never just assume!

Every child should be taught sign language, whatever else they may or may not be taught, and so should their families and classmates. I think it was back in the 80s that policy makers decided that deaf children should not be taught to sign. If the parents I this film were truly child centred they would put the needs of the child first.....and by implication parents generally

Hi! This is Jolly, by Profession a Counselor, Advisor, Social Activist and voice of the Human Rights. I am a senti and emotional person when it comes to physically handicapped children. I am deeply touched by this short movie that brought tears rolling down my cheeks though I do like watching such movies. Couples are good in producing children but when a baby is found with a defect they leave them back in the hospital or give them up for adoption or neglect the infant when living with the parents while the baby's siblings watch what the parents do and follow the same. Parents and siblings drifted themselves apart from the infant. The feel the easiest way is to get the child occupied by a teacher. When they both show their attachment towards one another Evil Parents drift them apart. Do they realize the trauma they put their child through which has a severe impact on the child. Parents are busy with their jobs, while siblings with their school and college. The fondling love the child found in her teacher was taken away from the child. It's the bound duty of all parents and siblings however the defects may be is to accept, receive, reach out to extended the BEST you can to the defected child. We all are the children of God in whatever form a child is born. May God bestow Abundant Blessings and Protection to such children. ♡ :-)

The Living & Holy God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone..." *Please* sincerely receive Holy Jesus & put your true faith and trust in Him today and repent.

I’m profoundly deaf since birth. I learned to speak. Later around 8-9 years old, learning sign language but not good at the time cos it was oral in deaf unit at mainstream school. I watched and learned sign language whilst I was a student in college. My parents are happy cos BSL (British Sign Language) is my choice.

The Silent Child. The Invisible Child. The Neglected Child. The Misunderstood Child. The Valueless Child. The Abandoned Child.
In a society of speed, addiction, conditioned falseness and personal unavailability.
A perfectly exquisite film. The fire up my spine aroused by the mother points the way to the roots of self-abandonment. The mother who,
of course, was a victim before she became perpetrator, a role now defined by countless human beings who appear normal because they are the norm, and anything but natural.
"Joanne" 's (Rachel Shenton?) expressively mobile face ripples with subtleties of intelligence and feeling. I love her too.

How touching! I had tears in my eyes! Tears, because i can completely understand the little girl. It must be horrible, if you are a part of the societey without understanding anything! When i saw this film, i also realised, that there are more aspects of not being understood. For example the language. But in all cases i think the most important is to give oneself to the children. Just want to understand them really. I know it for many times, when a child talk to me in a language i don´t understand. But it´s the way we react. Not to take the sentence and google it. It is more to look the kid in the eye! It´s about understanding the main needs: love, trust, affection, humor....An encouter on another level! In this case, a huge thank you to Chris Overton for this
phenomenal and this kind of view! Thank you so much! Brilliant! (I hope the hole writing makes sense, i normally speaks German and Italian, so sometimes it´s hard to find the right words.....not only in this case.)

AMAZING STORY! LOVED IT! I had some friends who were deaf and I loved learning sign language to communicate to them. I don't understand how a family can neglect their daughter and not give her the necessary tools for her to succeed just because she is deaf. the mom was rude and cruel not to take the time to understand her daughter and the circumstances behind her inability to communicate. doors were being opened when she started learning sign language.

That is mean/hurtful, child deserves a childhood, has no freedom. Just being honest gets the same result also, only cheaters get by, is so messed up. Adults have a responsibilty to care for that younge child, yet they so selfish, eeek its disgusting🤢 and she is still suffering? What the, thats not even a story, just a sad case of abuse filmed.

I really like this. I don't have any idea what it is like to be deaf or hearing impaired. I always have a place in my heart for those people. Whenever I see people using ASL or sign I always smile because I think that it is a super unique way of communication. In 4th & 5th grade I got the chance to learn ASL and as a part of the choreography, we did sign. I got the honor to direct and I think that I would definitely like to learn more because I always would like to be able to communicate with people who are deaf.

I looked into learning sign language with my kids but it was crazy expensive. It would be nice if it was taught at school like any other language.
