    Dal Makhani is one of my favourite North Indian dish. People say Paneer butter masala or other paneer varieties are best. But you need to try this one out. This is so healthy and as Bhat sir mentioned, with Phulka it will be amazing. This will go well with Tandoori roti and Naans.
    I have tried this with Jeera rice & ghee rice. It will be perfect with all.

    This dal makhani u made is perfectly bhukara ( uzhbekisthan) dish... Which is called as dal bhukara... I was in doha for 7 years and i came to know from one afghan chef of hotel bhukara in doha..
    They called your recipe as dal bhukara where they dont use rajma..
    Dal makhani is purely indian cuisine originate in delhi.. Where we use rajma along with black urad dal...

    VB sir - also wanted to comment that it is quite easy to make this provided the dhal is soaked enough and washed well. I recommend adding lesser cream please. Adding the amount of cream mentioned makes us full sooner. But as you mentioned, it can be refrigerated for at least a week. Thank you sir! Followed your instructions meticulously.
